Simple Slow Cooker Chicken Stock

Ingredients
  • Bones of one chicken (Or beef soup bones, or fish bones, or any you have! Preferably from a pastured, organic animal.)
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 onion
  • 3-4 carrots
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 16 grinds of freshly cracked pepper
  • Any other seasonings of choice
  • 1-2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • Water to fill the slow cooker
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to slow cooker
  2. Fill to the top with water
  3. Cook on low overnight or up to 24 hours
  4. Strain by pouring through colander
  5. Store in fridge and use for soups, stews, sauces, or just drink straight.
  6. For long term storage, you can can it. I also like to pour 2 cup portions into zipper bags and freeze.
