Homemade Salad Dressing, Two Ways

Most of us use way too much salad dressing, and the store-bought kinds are full of many different ingredients that we really don’t want in our bodies. For example, I picked up a bottle of ranch dressing off the shelf the other day, only to find that canola oil was the first ingredient. Canola oil is one of the most highly processed oils you can buy, and it causes inflammation in the body. The fact that it was listed first means that the majority of that dressing was canola oil!

As I looked through the ingredients further, I also ran into carrageenan, which has been linked to many different kinds of cancer and certainly isn’t something I would cook with in my own kitchen.

Even further down the list, I found MSG. The negative effects of MSG have been documented for many years, especially for those people who are trying to lose weight and be more healthy. And yet we are putting this on our salad?

The good news is that making your own dressing at home couldn’t be more simple! Today I’d like to share with you two of our favorite recipes. I know they will become some of your favorites too!
