That doesn’t make any sense, does it?
Everything that modern diet culture has taught us tells us that the reason we gained weight is that we ate too much, specifically that we ate too many calories. I’m sure you’ve heard it before, weight loss is supposed to be a simple math problem. If you eat fewer calories than you use, you will lose the weight, right?
This strategy can work temporarily, it’s true. The problem is that our bodies aren’t just a math problem. Everything affects our weight; hormones, sleep, stress, our relationships, and so much more! The quality of the food that we are putting into our bodies makes a huge difference, too!
