Today is an exciting day, I’m announcing a new cookbook that you need to have in your life!
I have been a huge fan of Lisa Leake of 100 Days of Real Food for many years now. Her website and recipes played a huge part in my own weight loss transformation and my own story. We use her recipes several times a week. I have been lucky enough to be an ambassador for her first two cookbooks, and two be a recipe tester for her last two. One thing I can tell you for sure, Lisa puts her whole heart and soul into everything she does. She always does an amazing job!
One thing I hear over and over when I talk to people about improving their health is, “I wish I could eat healthier, but I just can’t afford it.” I like to reframe this statement with them to, “I wish I could eat healthier, but I don’t yet know how to do that in an affordable way.” That second statement is the true one, and it’s one that really isn’t at all difficult to fix.
With this cookbook, Lisa has provided an amazing tool to make healthy eating on a budget easier than ever.
Like all her cookbooks, her recipes are also very simple, and very delicious! There is something in there for everyone. She is letting me share a recipe with you today, so please try these yummy energy bites out and then let me know what you think about it!
And make sure you go pick up this book!
- 1-1/2 cups rolled oats
- ⅔ cup peanut butter
- ½ cup raisins
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients and stir until well mixed.
- Roll into 18 bite-size balls with wet hands to keep the mixture from sticking to you (or use a melon scooper to help).
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Hi Emily, these look wonderful! I might make them for my son over the weekend. I hope they turn out well. Wish me luck!
Good luck! Please let me know what you think of them!
When we used almond butter and small oat flakes they worked a lot better than peanut butter and large oat flakes
That is good to know, and sounds delicious! I will have to try it that way. Thanks for sharing!
Do you use quick cooking or old fashioned rolled oats, or does it matter? Thanks!!!
I prefer the old fashioned rolled oats, but either one should work fine!
