I haven’t met a person yet who doesn’t love a good taco. Don’t tell me you don’t love tacos, because you are either lying or wrong, tacos are the best! These shredded pork tacos are especially great on those days that are going to be super crazy, or that you know you want a lazy day. You dump the ingredients in the slow cooker in the morning, and then at dinner time you toss it in a tortilla with your favorite taco toppings. Voila, dinner is served! I love simple, easy meals like this.

Slow Cooker Shredded Pork Tacos

Here are the basics for the pork tacos. Fist, mix the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and salt. You now have homemade taco seasoning without MSG, hooray! Feel free to use this anytime your recipe calls for taco seasoning. Put the pork roast in the slow cooker and sprinkle with about 1 tablespoon of the seasoning and then cook on low for 6-8 hours. Put on your favorite whole grain tortilla (here are my favorite tortilla recipes), top with your favorite taco toppings, and enjoy!

Thanks Brie! I usually buy 2-3 pounds, but really any size will work. You may just need to cook it a little longer for larger roasts. Great question! Let me know what you think of it!
