TAM Update – Week 9

This first pic is from 3 weeks ago,
and this one is from last night.
One of the huge differences here is that in the second picture I am wearing a belt, and it is cinched in as much as I can get it to go, which results in the fabric of my pants bunching together in the back in strange ways. No, I still haven’t gone shopping, and it becomes a more dire situation every day.
I finished up level 5 this past Tuesday, and I think it was my favorite level so far. I know I’m getting stronger because by the last few days I could do every rep, this is the first level that I’ve actually been able to do them all. I started level 6 Wednesday morning, and Tracy gets tricky! She adds weights and arm movements during the leg series and you really have to think about what you are doing because there is so much going on.
For my stats, I measured again on Tuesday. I lost 1/4 inch off each arm (I know that’s not much but I’m still counting it anyway!), 1/2 inch off my waist, 1 inch off my hips, and 1/2 an inch off each thigh. Not too bad. I also am down another 2 pounds. I didn’t think I was going to make the 2 pounds down this week because I was rather indulgent there in the middle, but I still managed to pull it off . That is a total of 17 pounds since starting TAM, 42 total from my highest weight, which was about 6 months ago.
The newness of this program is wearing off, and you could say that the honeymoon is over. Don’t get me wrong, I still love, love, love this method and will not stop doing it, but I no longer bounce out of bed when the alarm goes off at 5:00 a.m. and I have even been known to hit snooze once or twice now. I think that with every exercise plan out there, there will come a point where it is more difficult to get in and just do it, and the temptation is to just give up. I’m afraid I’m there. Despite that, the results are so motivating and this has become such a habit now that there is no way I’m going to stop. Plus I just feel so much better!
So here’s where I need a little help. In the past I’ve done my clothes shopping at either Walmart, which results in cheap clothes that only last for a day or two, or I have been known to splurge at Lane Bryant, which results in good quality clothes that last a long time, but with a price tag to match. Well, I don’t fit in Lane Bryant clothes any more, and I’m wanting something higher quality and longer lasting than cheapo Walmart crap. So where do you shop? What brands do you like? Is there a way to get affordable AND quality clothes? Help a sista out!
